Fees & Appointments

** DO NOT book an appointment online or attend the practice if you:

  • have any symptoms of Coronavirus (COVID-19) – sore throat, fever, cough, fatigue;
  • are concerned you have COVID-19;
  • OR if you have returned from interstate or overseas in the past 14 days.

If the above applies to you please phone our reception team on (07) 3185 3751 and we will provide you with advice on making a future appointment.**


Appointments can be made for a Full Skin Check, a Skin Spot Check or an Excision (if the doctor has already seen you and advised you to have a procedure). If time permits, the doctor may perform a biopsy of any suspicious lesions at the time of the skin check or spot check, alternatively they will ask you to make a subsequent booking. 

Can't come to your appointment?

If you cannot make your appointment, we ask that you provide at least 2 hours notice.

New Patients

We welcome new patients to Brisbane City Skin Clinic. If you are a new patient, we ask that you arrive at Brisbane City Skin Clinic 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time to complete a New Patient Form. One of our receptionists will be in contact the day before your appointment to confirm, either via SMS or telephone call.


Due to our inner-city location, if you are not walking from your office or catching public transport, we ask that you be mindful of the time required to park and walk to our clinic. The nearest car parks to our clinic are Wintergarden Secure Park and Myer Centre Car Park. 



Treatment Room

If you require a procedure for an excision please let reception know when you make the booking to ensure our treatment room is available. Our Registered Nurse will often assist the doctor in performing skin excisions, complex biopsies and other procedures. 


Patients are required to pay for the fee of their consultation in full at the end of the appointment. Our fees are above the Medicare rebate amount and you will incur an out-of-pocket expense. For your convenience, at the completion of your consultation, we can process your Medicare claim immediately into your savings or cheque account (via EFTPOS) or send it to Medicare to have the refund reimbursed into your nominated bank account.

Policy for non-attendance, late cancellation and late arrival for appointments

We understand that things pop up and you may need to reschedule your appointment. However, we do ask that you provide us with at least 2 hours notice prior to your appointment time so that we can attempt to fit other patients in. Our SMS appointment reminder alerts you to our policy for non-attendance, late cancellation and late arrival for your scheduled appointment. If you do not provide notice:

  • First occurrence – you will receive a text message or email advising that a DNA fee will be charged ($40 for a standard appointment, $80 for a long appointment) and you will be emailed the invoice if we are unable to contact you via phone.
  • Subsequent occurrence – you will receive a text message or email advising that a DNA fee will be charged ($40 for a standard appointment, $80 for a long appointment) AND the Practice manager may contact you to discuss your missed appointments.

If there have been extenuating circumstances that have resulted in your non-attendance please ask to speak to our Practice Manager.
